There’s something about photographing newborn babies on neutral colors that I adore! I think it makes the photos that much more about the baby in a way, which after all, is the goal, right?! Don’t get me wrong, I l o v e photographing the rainbow, too. But neutrals are so timeless, and they will forever be my favorite.
Prior to your newborn session, I will send you a questionnaire to fill out, which allows you to choose what colors/neutrals you love most. From there, I will take that information and style your session with simple accessories, wraps, backdrops, and props from the studio so your entire gallery flows together nicely! If you don’t have any specific colors or neutrals in mind, that’s fine, too. I’m happy to plan out the whole session for you!
Sweet baby C came to visit me when he was 14 days new! They drove over an hour each way to get to my Bangor, Maine newborn and baby photography studio… such an honor! His parents are wonderful people and I’ve been lucky enough to document a few major life milestones for them. Last fall, we took their maternity photos — which I can’t wait to share on here either! A couple years before that, I photographed their destination wedding in Florida, which was an absolute blast. So at this point, it genuinely feels like catching up with old friends whenever we get to connect, so having a 2-3 hour newborn session together was a real treat.
Despite a long drive prior to his session, baby C slept well for us! I was especially excited that he flashed me some puckered up lips. This seemed to be his signature expression from the few photos I had seen his parents share. 🙂

I only take on a certain amount of these sessions per month to ensure I have plenty of space in my calendar for whenever each baby arrives.
