About a year ago, I flew from Maine to Iowa to visit one of my best friends, and on that trip I had the pleasure of meeting Cassie, Bobby, and their daughter Raegan. Cassie had contacted me about doing a photoshoot prior to my mid-west visit, so we celebrated Raegan’s first birthday photos with a cake smash and some family shots. A few months later, they asked me if I would be interested in photographing their wedding. I was hesitant… as I had never shot a wedding of my own before. I’m pretty sure Cassie had more confidence in me than I had in myself at that point, but I loved their little family so much I couldn’t say no. A year later, after second shooting several weddings, I found myself on a plane, headed to Iowa to shoot my first Danielle Brady Photography wedding. As you can imagine, I was pretty nervous… but as soon as I saw Cassie and Bobby and met their welcoming family, I knew it was going to be a blast. Aaaand I was right. 🙂 Not only was the entire day a blast, but everything came together perfectly. The venue? Ah-mazing. Their details? Gorgeous. The love they have for each other and their daughter? Absolutely radiant. I’m not sure how I got so lucky. Thank you Cassie and Bobby for trusting me to capture your most special day. And for giving me the amazing opportunity to travel to Iowa again! I hope you love this extended preview of your photos and I can’t wait to show you the rest!
This was one of my most favorite parts of the day. Cassie and Bobby actually had two first looks… one with each other, and one with their daughter. Bobby was SO antsy in anticipation of seeing his bride for the first time since the day before 🙂 It was incredibly adorable.
Yesss, the above shot is an instant favorite 🙂 Next up was the party bus! It was pretty crazy. And definitely the way to go if you want to have a mini-party before the reception party begins. Such a fun crew!
I think one of the most memorable moments of the night was Bobby’s impromptu speech… Or shall I say, everyone’s impromptu speech? Yes, every single groomsman gave a small speech or toast. Needless to say, the whole banquet room was laughing hysterically as they kept passing the microphone down the line!
Looked like a fun day, huh? 🙂 So happy I got to be a part of it. Extremely special thanks to my amazing friend and second shooter for the day, Jenn from Jenn Davenport Photography. It’s sometimes impossible to be in two places at once, so she was one of the best teammates I could ask for. I am so grateful she flew out from Washington (state!) to shoot this wedding with me!
