NEWBORN SESSIONS. It’s no secret that these sweet, tiny little beings make newborn sessions my favorite sessions to photograph. So new. So squishy. So perfect. I love to capture all the details. The ones that will change so quickly; the ones you’ll want to remember forever. I photograph newborns within the first 3-10 days after birth to ensure we do just that. After two weeks of age, the babies tend to lose their curled up, womb-like tendencies, sleep less often and soundly, and can start to develop baby acne. Since the babies have to be sleeping to be posed, these sessions last an average of 3-4 hours, leaving enough time for all the feedings and cuddles. I love to use a mix of bright colors and neutral tones with my blankets and props. It is never too early to book your newborn session — in fact, the earlier the better! Unfortunately, since these sessions take place so soon after the baby is born, I will mostly likely not be able to fit you in if you contact me after you’ve already had the baby. Therefore, it’s recommended that you contact me while you’re still pregnant, so I can simply put your due date on my calendar and block off ample time for your future session.
REGULAR SESSIONS. Baby, children, family, maternity, senior, and couples sessions all take place on-location about 1-2 hours before sunset. Before your session, we will discuss everything from location to suggestions on what to wear — all the details that will ultimately add up to make your vision come to life. My style is a mix of traditional-looking-and-smiling photography and lifestyle photography. I aim to capture those toothless smiles and chubby baby rolls. And the way you and your fiancé laugh with each other. Have a favorite hoodie you want to wear to your senior session? Wear it! My primary goal is to capture you as you are. So yes, if this means photographing your family having a pillow fight, I’m totally all for it. :) Aside from newborn sessions, I usually recommend photographing babies once they are sitting and once they turn one. Maternity sessions typically take place anywhere between 30-36 weeks, but most importantly when you feel comfortable! Sessions with kiddos between the ages of 15 months to 3 years often take on a more photojournalistic approach, as this is probably one of the most difficult age ranges to capture! If you have any other questions or would like to book a session, please contact me!

How much is your session fee and what does it include?
My current session fees begin at $200 and vary per type of session. This fee includes my time (anywhere from 30 minutes – 2 hours), talent, and a password protected gallery of all the final, edited images online for you to view for 30 days. All prints and products, including the digital files, are purchased separately.
Why do your newborn sessions take so much longer than regular sessions?
Newborn sessions take a few hours longer than normal sessions because the baby will have to be sleeping to be posed. This basically means we wait for them to fall asleep! With lots of rocking, cuddles, and some feedings, this is usually accomplished fairly easily, and I have a lot of patience. :) Once asleep, the session actually moves along quite quickly!
Do you sell the digital files? What are your prices?
Yes, I do sell digital files. I also sell prints and other various products. Please contact me for my specific price list!
Do you photograph weddings?
Yes, I am currently booking a limited number of 2013 weddings.
Where are you located? Do you travel?
I am located in the Bangor, Maine area and YES, I looove to travel! Because of the outrageous gas prices, I do have a travel fee for locations more than 30 miles away round-trip. For travel outside of Maine, contact me for a quote!
