Almost a year ago, one of my very favorite little clients (and my birthday twin!) turned one, and she came all the way from Texas to visit me for her celebratory cake smash session! Love the light, soft colors that her mom picked out for the theme. As always, thanks to Queen City Cakes for the beautiful cake! I’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking…
Just love. Hope your second birthday cake is just as fun as this one was, Miss Olivia. :)

Kelly and Matt celebrated their one year anniversary yesterday, and I thought it would be a good time to fiiiiinally share a few of my favorite photos from their special day on the blog. :) These two said their vows at The Looking Glass Restaurant in Bar Harbor with just a few of their closest family and friends. It was a beautifully intimate and laid back day! After their sweet ceremony officiated by Kelly’s brother Justin, they ate delicious food, cut the cake, danced their first dance as a married couple, and then we snuck off for some photos of the newlyweds! Acadia National Park was closed due to the government shut down last year, but we got some great shots near the ocean in Bar Harbor and some gorgeous fall foliage close to the park.
Happy first anniversary Kelly + Matt! And cheers to many, many more. I’m so glad I was able to share your special day with you. xoxo!

Photography has allowed me to meet some incredible people over the past 4 years. Jenn is one of those people! She is a super talented photographer in Washington state. I actually met her on facebook in a photography forum of all places. Sounds crazy I know, but she seriously has turned out to be one of my very best friends, and I can’t remember what it was like not to know her! Two years ago, she asked me to second shoot a wedding with her in Washington, and I happily jumped on a plane with my camera to meet her and her family for the first time. The trip was amazing. Jenn is just as sweet in person as she is online/over the phone, and I completely fell head over heels in love with Washington — seriously, go if you haven’t been. I reeeeally need to blog some of those photos, but we’ll save that for another day. ;) Fast forward about a year and a half to when Jenn told me she was expecting her third baby (first boy!) in January of this year, and that she was flying me out to do his newborn photos! Yes, you guessed right, I didn’t argue. :) Newborns and Washington? Heck yes. Here are some of my favorite images I snapped during my trip to the best coast (yes, I said it. don’t hate me, Maine…) of this handsome stud. Boden was only 2 days fresh when I arrived!
Oh, and did I mention Boden has the best big sisters ever? LOVE love love these people. So thankful that you and your sweet family came into my life, Jenn! Now if only we lived about 3,000 miles closer… :)
p.s. Some of these photos/set-ups were a collaborative effort between me, Jenn, and our friend Tami — three newborn photographers are better than one, right?! It was so wonderful to work with you talented ladies!
