My favorite season is settling in on us here in Maine, so I figured I’d start sharing some of my favorite fall sessions from last year (since you already all know I am clearly over a year behind on the blogging scene!). I only have a few openings left for this autumn, so hurry up and contact me if you want to grab one while they’re still available! Personally, I think it’s the best time of year for photos… cool temperatures, lots of colors with the foliage, layered outfits, apple picking, corn-mazing, blanket snuggling, etc.!
Okay, now for the fun stuff: the photos. :)
Disclaimer: there was no fun and no laughing allowed at this session. At all.
Completely adore this momma/son duo. Gage is genuinely one of the sweetest (and most hilarious!) kids you’ll ever meet. I cannot wait to see you both again soon!

I had so much fun with this little peanut. She has such a vibrant personality for only being 1 year old… I totally hope I get to see her again when she is talking in full sentences! Here’s a sneak peek of some favorite shots from Callie’s cake smash!
I always start with some shots outside, but to say it was cold that day is an understatement, so we did some indoor shots of the birthday girl as well. Then it was time to smash some cake! And yes, Callie was a professional smasher. :) Also, can I just say how badly I wished her little red peacoat came in my size? Love.
I loved every second of this session! Thanks so much mom and dad for driving 1.5 hours to share your birthday girl with me! Special shout out to Wendy from Queen City Cakes for another yummy cake! Clearly, it was enjoyed. :)

With another blizzard welcoming it’s way into Maine this evening, I thought I would share a session that literally took place in the middle of a blizzard right before the holidays! When Anne asked me to do her family photos at a christmas tree farm, I was instantly excited. Adorable family, christmas trees, snow… perfection! At the same time, I was instantly nervous. Photographing another photographer (yes, I’m talking about the Anne behind Anne Schmidt Photography – fabulous work, check her out!) is always a bit daunting, especially when it’s blowing around snow and the wind chill is below zero. Add in an almost 3 year old, and you’ve got a lot of challenges rolled into one! But when all was said and done, their session turned out to be one of my favorites of 2013. We had a great time with loads of laughs, even more warm car breaks, and plenty of donuts for the little one. :) Here are some of my favorite images!
Thank you, Anne and Josh, for having me capture your darling little family last year, and for being such troopers in the wintery conditions! I hope you all stay warm (and inside) during this blizzard! ;)
