Thanks to the recent blizzard, we officially have plenty of snow here in Maine, and it’s inspired me to hoard blankets, stay inside, edit, and update the blog on my day off. So why not start with an outdoor winter wedding?! Victoria, Michael, and their two sweet kiddos celebrated their big day last March in the White Mountains in Jackson, New Hampshire. (If you’ve never been to the White Mountains, GO. It is a stunning area, and I cannot wait to go back someday!). They got ready and said their vows at Whitney’s Inn, and celebrated with their loved ones right next door at the Shovel Handle Pub. We were lucky enough to get an exceptionally lovely winter day, fully loaded with mild temperatures, bright yet overcast skies, and yes… “snow globe snow” for the ceremony! When I look back at these photos, I still can’t believe how perfect everything about their day was. Hope you enjoy a peek into their wedding story. :)

Vikki is a hair stylist, so she did her own hair for her wedding! Talk about talent…!

Victoria + Michael: your day was SO beautiful and I am honored you chose me to document it! Hope married life is treating you wonderfully. :)

Kelly and Matt celebrated their one year anniversary yesterday, and I thought it would be a good time to fiiiiinally share a few of my favorite photos from their special day on the blog. :) These two said their vows at The Looking Glass Restaurant in Bar Harbor with just a few of their closest family and friends. It was a beautifully intimate and laid back day! After their sweet ceremony officiated by Kelly’s brother Justin, they ate delicious food, cut the cake, danced their first dance as a married couple, and then we snuck off for some photos of the newlyweds! Acadia National Park was closed due to the government shut down last year, but we got some great shots near the ocean in Bar Harbor and some gorgeous fall foliage close to the park.

sarah + cory │ brewer and ellsworth maine wedding photography

I had been looking forward to photographing Sarah and Cory’s wedding for almost two years! And let me just say, their big day didn’t disappoint. There was so much love, laughter, and best of all… LOADS of dancing. It was perfect. Here is their wedding story!

After Sarah, her mom, and her maid of honor Cortney got their hair done at Fusion HT in Orrington, they headed over to Brewer to enjoy some Bagel Central bagels (THE BEST, right?!) and get ready for the rest of the day’s festivities.

Sarah and Cory chose not to see each other before the ceremony, so Cory was anxiously awaiting for the ceremony to start and to see his beautiful bride walking down the aisle.

After the ceremony, everyone headed to Camp Jordan in Ellsworth to celebrate. The clouds rolled in, and it was a tad windy on the water, but we lucked out with no rain!

Next, it was time to party. And when I say party… I mean it. I was told to bring my dancing shoes to this wedding, and now I know why! A few highlights of the night included: Cory belting out their first dance song, Sarah singing a surprise song to Cory, ruler suspenders (for those who don’t know, Cory owns Stitham’s Custom Homes and is a fabulous contractor, so these were perfect), blow-up air guitars, and some killer dance moves. The thing I loved most about the reception, however, was that Sarah and Cory DANCED! Every wedding I shoot/attend, I notice that the bride and groom rarely take time during their reception to let loose and dance with each other. But these two danced the night away, and it sure did make for some stellar reception photos. :)

Mr. + Mrs. Stitham: you sure know how to put on an amazing party. :) Congratulations to you both, and thank you for trusting me to capture all the moments of your big day. It was a blast!
